Position Overview
The Fleet Manager is responsible for coordinating fleet utilisation, vehicle
maintenance planning, transport scheduling, and operational compliance activities
across the company’s commercial vehicle fleet.

The role focuses on ensuring fleet availability, organising servicing and repairs,
coordinating transport schedules, maintaining fleet records, and supporting safe
transport operations. The Fleet Manager works closely with drivers, maintenance
providers, logistics coordinators, and management to ensure transport activities
operate efficiently.

This position reflects the responsibilities of Fleet Manager, involving the
coordination of vehicle maintenance, transport scheduling, operational records,
and fleet compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities
The Fleet Manager will undertake the following duties:
i. Coordinating servicing, maintenance, and repairs of Ozway’s commercial fleet
vehicles
ii. Planning operations including vehicle allocation and transport schedules across
freight operations
iii. Independently ensure compliance and operational efficiency of fleet
utilisation, performance, and operational availability
iv. Organising vehicle registration, insurance, and compliance requirements
v. Liaising with Ozway drivers, mechanics, suppliers, and logistics stakeholders as
per Managerial and operational requirements.
vi. Maintaining our operational and admin fleet records, maintenance logs, and
operational documentation in compliance with regulatory requirement.
vii. Coordinating preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime
viii. Supporting safe vehicle operation and transport compliance requirements
ix. Monitoring fuel usage, operational costs, and fleet efficiency indicators
x. Assisting with procurement planning and replacement of fleet vehicles when
required
xi. Preparing operational summaries and fleet-related reports for management
xii. Communicating scheduling updates and operational changes to drivers and
stakeholders

These responsibilities reflect the transport coordination, maintenance planning,
and operational record-keeping functions required of a fleet management role
within a logistics environment.

Skills and Experience
OZWAY Logistics is seeking a candidate with practical fleet coordination capability
and strong organisational planning skills within a transport or logistics
environment.

Essential
i. The preferred candidate would ideally have AQF Associate Degree, Advanced
Diploma or Diploma in relevant field (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) and relevant industry
work experience.
ii. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal
qualifications listed above. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-
job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
iii. Strong organisational and planning capability in operational environments
iv. Ability to coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance activities
v. Clear communication skills when working with drivers, service providers, and
operational stakeholders
vi. Confidence using digital fleet tracking systems, logistics software, or CRM-
based operational tools

Desirable
i. Experience in freight transport or logistics operations
ii. Familiarity with transport compliance and safety requirements
iii. Exposure to vehicle maintenance coordination and scheduling
iv. Understanding of operational reporting and fleet cost monitoring
v. Preference will be given to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents
