Job Description: GBC Contractors is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team and start immediately.

Job Purpose:
The Fitter is required to complete all facets of fitting works on time, in full and to standard, while striving for continuous improvement. The Fitter is responsible for keeping themselves and their colleagues safe as well as maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment. This role requires a strong focus on safety and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
-Conducting fitting (or general) tasks as directed.
-Inspection, testing and servicing of on-board mechanical systems.
-Inspection, analysis and recording of critical measurements, data, or information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment works.
-Completing works within the required time frames and, if unachievable, informing supervisor immediately.

Qualifications and Experience:
-Engineering Tradesperson - Special Class Level I, Qualified Fitter with post trade qualifications;
-A good track record of maintenance in heavy industry, infrastructure or related service industries;
-Minimum five years’ experience as a shift breakdown maintenance fitter including fault finding, diagnostics and isolation procedures within a maintenance environment;
-Hydraulics experience essential
-Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in both residential and commercial projects.
-Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
-Proficiency in using tools and equipment.
-Current Australian Driver’s License.

Salary: The position pays between $79040-$98,800
