Our fitters, machinists and technicians have extensive experience delivering solutions to mining, maintenance and engineering, and componentry repair and manufacture.

We are looking for a Fitter / Machinist to join our growing organization.

Job responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain a variety of fitting and metalworking tools, machinery, and equipment.
* Interpret technical and engineering drawings to assemble mechanical components to precise specifications.
* Perform fitting and assembly tasks to tight tolerances using both hand tools and workshop machinery.
* Use precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure high accuracy and quality standards.
* Conduct routine maintenance on all fitting and metalworking tools to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
* Understand different materials and adjust machining and fitting parameters accordingly.
* Troubleshoot and resolve fitting and assembly issues effectively during the build process.
* Maintain a methodical and safety-focused approach to all tasks, while working independently or as part of a team.
* Communicate clearly with team members and follow established safety procedures and quality protocols.

Qualifications and skillset:

* 3-5 years of experience in mechanical fitting and/or CNC/manual machining – highly desirable
* Previous experience working with mining and engineering components.
* Skilled in the use of CNC and manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, borers, and slotters.
* Proven ability to fit components to fine tolerances.
* Hold a valid Trade Certificate or equivalent in Fitting and/or Machining – highly advantageous.
* Competent in reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings.
* Forklift licence is desirable, but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail, with a methodical and safety-conscious approach.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Salary: $70,0000 - $80,000 annually
