POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Fire Sprinkler Fitter Tradesman DEPARTMENT / DIVISION: Chubb Fire Tasmania DATE PREPARED: June 2025 REPORTS TO: Contracts Manager POSITIONS REPORTING TO THIS ONE: None JOB PURPOSE: To install, repair and service fire protection systems and equipment to Chubb Fire Safety standards of quality and delivery excellence whilst exceeding customer service expectations at every available opportunity. To assist in growing our sales, increasing our market share and growing the net profitability of our company. STAKEHOLDERS (Key Contacts): Fixed Service staff, Customer Service and Administration staff, Service Sales staff, Warehouse staff and Portable Service staff. CRITICAL RESULTS OPERATIONAL: Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with Chubb Fire Safety procedures and processes Install, service, and repair fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance Chubb Fire Safety procedures and processes Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using the CFS Logbooks and associated documents, in an accurate and legible manner Maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management, and service delivery Participate in stocktakes and be responsible for inventory management Manage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment, vehicles, product, etc Report work progress and performance by completing productivity / key performance indicator (KPI) reports Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes Attend all scheduled training programs Recommend improved business processes by actively engaging in Quality CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provide assistance to customers in the use of fire and safety equipment Effectively communicate with the customer Ensure highest level of presentation as a Chubb Fire Safety employee, including individual presentation, vehicle presentation, etc. Ensure punctuality Comply with all Customer requirements, as defined by the Customer contract CUSTOMER GROWTH: Increase the Customer base through the active promotion and sale of products and services Reduce Customer attrition through the delivery of excellent customer service Gather market information to assist in market analysis ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY: Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements Report to supervisor conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards Attend scheduled EH&S training programs Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans Recommend improved EH&S practices ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE: Actively promote an ethics-based culture, ensuring awareness of and full compliance with Chubb related policies. Attend scheduled Ethics and Trade Practices training programs Openly communicate to support Chubb compliance, business practices. This position description is to serve as a guide. PERSON SPECIFICATION PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES: PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Up to date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information A solid knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment Professional experience or qualifications specified by any applicable local classification structure.
