Overview The Shopify store is already created, a theme is installed, and products are uploaded. This job is to finish the build, optimize the design, write all required content, and ensure the site is fully compliant and ready for Google Merchant Center. The end result must look highly attractive, polished, and professional to match the expectations of a real band merchandise store. Draft Store (for review) https://bandmerchandiseshop.myshopify.com/ Password: thohgu Current State • Store created • Theme selected • Products uploaded (approx. 5 bands, mostly T-shirts, each with variations) Requirements • Store Structure o Organize products by band, with collections set up for each. o Build site so additional bands can be added later with minimal extra work. o Logical navigation: Shop by Band → Product categories (T-shirts, hoodies, etc.). • Design & UX o Customize theme for a clean, modern, and professional look suited to band merch. o Mobile-first optimization. o Add banners, featured collections, and promotional sections. o Website must be visually engaging and attractive, with attention to detail in fonts, spacing, and layout. o Use only the product images that are already uploaded. No additional images will be provided. • Core Pages o Home, About, Contact, FAQ, Shipping & Returns, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service. o Write all text content for these pages. o Cart, checkout, and customer account flows fully tested. o Ensure 404 page is styled and functional. • Compliance & Merchant Center Readiness o Ensure all product data meets Google Merchant Center requirements. o Write compliant product descriptions based on band/merch info. o Correct GTIN/MPN or mark “custom product” where applicable. o Shipping policy, return policy, and contact info displayed clearly. o No placeholder text/images that could trigger misrepresentation. o Verify tax, shipping, and payment settings are configured. o Confirm at least one live payment gateway is connected and tested (Shopify Payments, PayPal, etc.). • SEO & Content Checks o Write unique page titles and meta descriptions. o Add alt text to all product images. o Remove any demo or placeholder content from the theme. • Testing & Launch o Test end-to-end checkout. o Confirm correct taxes/shipping at checkout. o Confirm site speed and mobile performance. o Ensure product images are consistent in size and resolution. o Deliver store fully launch-ready. Deliverables • Complete, functioning Shopify store ready to sell. • Google Merchant Center feed active and approved (no misrepresentation flags). • All required copywriting completed (product descriptions, policy pages, FAQs, etc.). • Documentation or short Loom video showing how to add new bands/products in the future. Freelancer Responsibility • You are responsible for writing all content (band/product descriptions, page copy, policies, SEO text) using your own research and best practice. • Before starting, provide me with one complete list of the details you cannot know (e.g. business name, contact email, shipping origin, tax region). I will supply these once. • I will not provide additional images. I want as little back-and-forth as possible.
