Our Finance team has an opportunity for a Financial Performance & Analysis Lead to head initiatives in the APAC region. This role has the preference to be based out of our Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle or Wollongong office. As part of our growing Finance team, the role plays a key role in driving financial performance across the APAC region. This commercially focused role partners with Project Leaders, Service Line Managers, and the Regional Management Team to improve project returns, support better decision-making, and enhance financial accountability. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across teams, providing visibility into key trends, risks, and opportunities. As a strategic partner to the APAC Finance Director, you’ll deliver insights that shape decisions, drive operational efficiency, and support sustainable growth. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Collaborate with service line and project leaders and the APAC Finance Director to support and offer valuable financial insight to improve performance improvement, strategic decision making around bids, hiring and initiatives. Lead the development and continuous improvement of financial forecasts and performance reports at team and portfolio levels Working with the Global FP&A team to coordinate the APAC annual budgeting process and variance analysis ensuring alignment across regions, service lines, and support functions. Including the preparation of a three-statement budget (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow). Provide financial, commercial and scenario analyses and financial models to support business planning, investment decisions and delivery planning. Monitor margin and multiplier performance, working with delivery teams to improve profitability and reduce write-offs. Help implement and maintain controls for WIP, AR, revenue recognition and project provisioning. Support the refinement of standard commercial reporting and controls to improve consistency and accountability. Work with Business Improvement and Finance to strengthen commercial capability among Project Managers and Project Support Officers. Help simplify tools and templates that support project financial performance and empower teams to self-manage effectively. Skills and Experience Degree in accounting or finance with CA/CPA or MBA required 5–10 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, commercial finance, or project performance roles. Strong understanding of project-based financials including revenue recognition, margin, WIP and utilisation. Proven ability to manage forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting across large or complex portfolios Experience partnering with non-financial stakeholders to influence business outcomes. Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel; Power BI or similar tools desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to translate financial information into clear operational advice. Comfortable working at pace and balancing competing priorities across teams. Experience in consulting, engineering, or other professional services organisations is highly desirable.
