I am acquiring a small-to-medium business in Australia and need support preparing and analysing financial/tax information for due diligence. This role is focused on data organisation, reconciliation, and reporting. Responsibilities: - Reconcile bank statements with P&L and balance sheet figures. - Prepare schedules for: aged receivables and aged payables loan balances and repayment history hire purchase / asset finance schedules tax filings (BAS, GST, PAYG) vs accounting records - Build working capital schedule (identify normalised requirements). - Assist with cash flow analysis (EBITDA vs cash conversion). -Highlight inconsistencies or irregularities in reported numbers. - Prepare summary spreadsheets for my financial advisors to review so they can perform a Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis. Requirements: -Strong accounting background (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred). - Experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations, and due diligence packs. - Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, reconciliations, schedules). - Familiarity with Australian accounting/tax terminology is preferred (GST, PAYG, super, FBT) - Experience in financial due diligence or Australian accounting standards will be highly regarded. - Clear communication and attention to detail. Deliverables - Clean, reconciled Excel workbooks with schedules and supporting reconciliations. - Notes on areas needing further review (without giving formal tax/legal advice). - Regular progress check-ins (via Zoom). Engagement: - Estimated 10–40 hours of work over 4–6 weeks. - Hourly rate preferred
