Join Us as a Moneycare Financial Counsellor Location: Toowoomba Position: Part-Time (0.8 FTE / 30.4 hours per week) Classification: SCHADS Level 4–5 – Social and Community Services (based on experience and accreditation) Why this role matters Moneycare is The Salvation Army’s (Salvos) national financial counselling and financial capability program which seeks to alleviate hardship and build long term resilience. About the Role Are you passionate about empowering individuals facing financial hardship? As a Moneycare Financial Counsellor with The Salvation Army, you’ll provide compassionate, expert financial guidance to help community members overcome financial challenges, build resilience, and improve their overall wellbeing. How You Will Make an Impact Deliver personalised financial counselling tailored to the unique needs of each client Develop and implement holistic, client-centred case plans that address financial hardship and promote mental and emotional wellbeing Build trusting relationships that encourage self-determination and active participation Collaborate with a range of service providers and advocate on behalf of clients Work within The Salvation Army’s high standards and frameworks to ensure quality service delivery Measure and report on client outcomes to continually improve support What You Will Bring Diploma of Financial Counselling (Level 3–5 depending on experience and accreditation status) Accreditation or active pursuit of accreditation with a recognised financial counselling association Experience or strong understanding of social service environments and the impacts of financial hardship Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Current Working with Children Check Driver's licence preferred About us The Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.
