The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team reporting into our experienced Financial Planning Analyst. You will be supporting the team in key areas of budgeting, forecasting and project financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of project accounting, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will:

  • Support the annual budgeting, monthly and rolling 12-month forecasting process, across the full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflows.
  • Support the monthly management and quarterly board reporting process, ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with reporting standards., providing insights to local and regional stakeholders.
  • Supporting commercial and financial analysis of projects, including
    • assisting in rate reviews, helping ensure rates reflect cost recovery and commercial objectives.
    • analysing the financial performance of the selected projects, including analysis of aged debt, WIP (Work in Progress), and other key financial risks.
  • Assist in maintain and develop financial models to support sales and operational decisions in the planning tool (Workday Adaptive), including report building, data integration, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain and support Power BI dashboards, as well as creating Powerbi reports and dashboards.
  • Partner with stakeholders across finance and operations to translate data into operational improvements
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes and reporting.

About you:

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

  • Accounting/Business qualifications (desirable)
  • CPA/CA qualified or in the process of obtaining these.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced Excel with experience working with Powerbi, be able to build basic report/dashboard.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency
