- About the Role
- The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting & Finance Operations department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient transaction processing, and strong compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role joins in the management of a team of 10+ professionals, coordinates with offshore service centres, and partners closely with the Finance Director / Controller to strengthen financial controls and deliver timely insights for business decision-making.
- Responsibilities
- Finance Operation Management
- Lead, mentor & foster a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration.
- Prioritize and allocate workload effectively, managing both onshore and offshore resources to meet critical deadlines.
- Drive continuous improvement in process, workflows, and reporting tools for operational excellence.
- Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee daily finance operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), data processing, and reporting, ensuring seamless execution.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure robust intercompany reconciliations and consolidation processes across the group.
- Prepare financial statements at both single-entity and consolidated levels in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Deliver and present Management Reporting packs tailored for various stakeholders and business needs.
- Compliance & Internal Control
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
- Manage external audit processes across jurisdictions, ensuring timely completion and sign-off.
- Collaborate with Tax and Corporate Governance teams to support statutory, tax, and other regulatory filings.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely in support for other finance functions such as FP&A, Treasury, Taxation.
- Translate complex financial results into clear messages for non-financial stakeholders.
- Support strategic initiatives with accurate financial data, insightful analysis, and recommendations
- A degree in Accounting or a related field is required, with a CPA/CA or equivalent being highly desirable.
- Bring 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in advanced financial reporting.
- Showcase proven leadership abilities and exceptional people management skills.
- Be detail-oriented, equipped with outstanding organizational and problem-solving competencies.
- Exhibit strategic thinking capabilities alongside excellent reporting and analytical skills.
- Be a clear communicator with the ability to persuade senior executives through data-driven insights.
- Display comfort with ambiguity and a talent for adapting to rapidly evolving business requirements.
- Experience in a Big 4 or second-tier firm is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry would certainly be advantageous.
