Location: Chelsea, VIC (South East Melbourne)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (consistent 5 days/week)

Start: Mid-February 2026

Pay Rate: $43 per hour (in line with SCHADS Award – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award)

Employment Type: Casual / Part-time with full-time hours (consistent ongoing roster)

About the Role

Ontime Disability Support is seeking a female Support Worker for a consistent weekday role supporting a participant in Chelsea. The participant will attend TAFE (Mon–Thu) and requires reliable transport/driving support, with Friday dedicated to community access.

This role is ideal for someone with an education background (Teacher Aide / Education Support / Integration Aide), confident supporting people with disability and promoting independence, routine, and social participation.

A strong, respectful and LGBTQIA+ inclusive approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving/transport support to and from TAFE (Mon–Thu) and planned activities
  • Supporting routines and independence-building skills
  • Friday community access (outings, appointments, engagement in activities)
  • Encouraging participation in interests (music, outings, sports/activities)
  • Progress notes/basic documentation and following care plans
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and clear communication
  • Working in line with NDIS Code of Conduct and organisational policies

Essential Criteria (Must Have)

  • Female support worker (participant preference)
  • Available Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm
  • Lives near Chelsea / can reliably commute to South East suburbs
  • Fluent English (strong communication; first-language English preferred or equivalent fluency)
  • LGBTQIA+ inclusive and respectful approach
  • Driver licence + reliable vehicle and confident driving participants
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism

Highly Regarded

  • Experience as a Teacher Aide / Education Support Worker
  • Experience supporting high school-aged / young adult participants with disability
  • Interest in music (singing/instrument), current affairs, geography/politics
  • Enjoys activities such as bowling, golf, outings/sightseeing

Compliance Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (preferred / may be required)
  • First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
  • police check
  • Worker's Orientation module
  • Ability to provide 2 referees and complete onboarding checks
