Family Fresh Farms is looking to fill 20 full-time farmhand positions working under the Horticultural Award wage instrument, starting at Level 1. The work is based at Family Fresh Farms, 13 Kilpa Road, Peats Ridge, New South Wales, Australia. The work involved is mostly harvesting, de-leafing, planting, clipping, lowering, shooting and removing of the vegetable crops from the 2 glasshouses. There is also some picking, grading and packing of vegetables too. There are opportunities for the right candidates to take on more responsibility and develop into roles like Quality Officers, Administrators, Forklift Operators, Machine Operators, Maintenance, Administrator, Glasshouse Assistants and Supervisory Roles over time and with the right experience. Please note the work conditions are extremely hot and humid most of the year due to glasshouse production coupled with the Australian climate. Please note the work is also physically demanding. Work hours are between 6:00am and 6:00pm six days per week. Minimum hours are 152 hours in a four week period which is equivalent to 38 hours per week. Please note the rate of pay is determined by the Horticultural Award Wage schedule. The positions are open from October 2025 and for a long-term contract period - 4 years to be precise.
