FARM WORK - MAREEBA Far North Queensland

Busy farm located near Mareeba that grows a variety of crops on several farms all located near Mareeba. We work under a high level of WHS procedures and are currently looking for farm labourers both locals and working holiday visa holders.

We are currently looking to fill the following workers for upcoming crops - growing and harvesting season. Work will commence to help grow and harvest bananas and other crops.

- 140 short term seasonal farm labourers. Team members are expected to be available for a 9 month period. Wages will be paid at standard casual award rates under the Horticulture Award. Average minimum weekly hours will be exceeding 30 hours per week.

- 40 long term seasonal farm labourers. Team members will be expected to be on a 2 year contract of employment. Wages will be paid at standard permanent award rates under the Horticulture Award. Minimum 38 hours per week.

There are a range of general farm hand positions available with majority being outside in the open paddocks. Full on the job training will be provided with the potential to upskill.

Due to the high physical demands and regular periods of hot and humid weather in Far North Queensland (FNQ), team members need to be work-fit and self motivated. Our Organisation conducts regular drug and alcohol testing to ensure a high level of WHS is maintained by all team members. Successful candidates need to be team players who can work efficiently and accurately.
