About

We are seeking multiple farm labourers for outdoor seasonal work on table grape farms across the Riverland region. This is physically demanding work requiring the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided.

We require people to prepare vines for harvest, pick table grapes, and perform other general farm maintenance (including cleaning).

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Shoot thinning
• Remove double bunches and weak shoots
• Remove crown bunches
• Bunch hanging & trimming
• Leaf plucking
• Cane tucking
• Picking table grapes
• Trimming & packing table grapes
• Pruning vines
• Pulling canes
• Rolling canes
• Planting
• General farm maintenance

Skills and Experience:
• No previous experience or qualifications required
• All training provided on the job
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely

Start Date:
Work is expected to commence from November 2025

Duration:
Short-term placement–up to 9 months (Nov 2025 - August 2026)

Hours of Work:
• Start times may vary between 5:00am to 7:00am
• Work may include long hours and occasional 6-day shifts
• A minimum availability of 5 days per week is required
• Minimum of 120 hours over a four-week period, equivalent to 30 hours/week on average

Wages and Conditions:
• Pay in accordance with the Horticulture Award 2020
• Casual Level 1 pay rate: $30.35 per hour, plus applicable penalties and overtime
• All conditions and entitlements as per the Award will be provided

Training & Upskilling:
On-the-job training will be provided. No prior farm experience is required.
