Are you an experienced Farm Hand/Manager looking for a new challenge in a beautiful location?

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual or couple to work in our farming operations at a Stud Farm in the Upper Hunter Valley. The role will assist with daily farm operations, livestock care, machinery operation, and general maintenance, often working outdoors in physically demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Crop Management: Plant, fertilize, water and harvest crops, apply herbicides,pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols.

Livestock Care: Feed, water and monitor animals, clean pens and barns, observe for signs of illness or distress.

Farm Maintenance: Repair fences, barns and irrigation systems; maintain cleanliness and order on the farm.

Administrative Support: Assist with record-keeping, inventory management and farm related administrative tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Physical fitness and ability to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions
Knowledge of crop cultivation, livestock care, and land farm machinery operation
Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and minor repairs
Attention to detail for monitoring crop and animal health
Teamwork and time-management skills to coordinate with farm managers and other workers
Must have current Driver’s Licence or heavy machinery certification and chemical certification

Working Conditions
Early mornings and sometimes weekend work
Work is primarily outdoors and physically demanding, requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $26.44 – $35.18 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week
