We recently got engaged and are planning a destination wedding in Mexico for 2028 with 120-150 guests. We're looking for an experienced destination wedding planner to help us navigate the early stages of planning and guide us through the entire process. We need help identifying and evaluating private villas and estates in Mexico that match our vision. We're looking for Spanish colonial or Mediterranean-style architecture with breathtaking ocean views. The venue must be a private estate or villa, not a resort or hotel chain, and needs to accommodate 120-150 guests. We've done some initial research but need expert guidance on the best options. Beyond venue scouting, we need someone to walk us through the entire destination wedding planning process. We want to understand timelines, logistics, and what to expect when planning a wedding in Mexico. This includes help understanding vendor coordination, guest accommodations, legal requirements, and travel logistics. We also need insights on budgeting for a destination wedding of this scale and guidance to help us avoid common pitfalls. The ideal candidate has proven experience planning destination weddings in Mexico, specifically in coastal regions like Cabo, Riviera Maya, or Punta Mita. You should have strong knowledge of private villa and estate venues, not just resorts. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex logistics clearly are essential. Experience with weddings of 100+ guests is required. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus. You should be available for video consultations and ongoing communication. This is an initial consultation and venue scouting project. We're looking for someone who can review our research and provide expert feedback, recommend additional venues that match our criteria, schedule and coordinate virtual or in-person venue tours, educate us on the destination wedding planning process, and provide a roadmap for next steps. If this goes well, we'd love to continue working together on full planning and coordination services as we get closer to 2028. We're open to discussing your rates.
