Fugazzi Bar & Dining Room is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to support the delivery of a high-quality menu to customers. Reporting to the Executive Chef the Chef/Cook is responsible for supporting the operational running of the kitchen in the restaurant and providing the highest standard of food at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with the Executive and Head Chef to direct food preparation.
• Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
• Produces high-quality plates, considering both design and taste.
• Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
• Overseeing kitchen operations.
• Coordinating kitchen staff, and supervise them as required.
• Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
• Ingredients and equipment, inventory control and supply management
• Keeps Stations Clean and complies with food safety standards
• Keeping up to date with industry trends.
• Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
Qualifications and Work Experience
• Have at least a relevant AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookey or above in cookery/ hospitality related field
• Minimum 1 years work experience as a Chef/ Cook is essential
• Experience within a fast-paced restaurant and experience in fine dining Restaurant is advantageous.
