We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Executive Officer to provide high-level executive, secretariat, and project support to our Chief Executive Officer and Chief Commissioner. What We're Looking For
- We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who excels in high-level communication, strategic advising, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage complex issues, provide timely and accurate advice, and lead projects that align with our strategic objectives. They will act as a key liaison, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, while maintaining a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
- You are a skilled professional with the ability to manage executive-level correspondence, coordinate ELT and Commission meeting actions, and prepare CEO reports while liaising with the Office of the Minister. The role includes overseeing cross-functional projects, providing strategic secretariat support, and advising the CEO on sensitive matters. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Word) and strong document management skills are essential.
- Direct Liaison: Serve as the direct liaison with the Minister's Office. Act as an executive point of contact, liaise with stakeholders, and coordinate communications to meet deadlines.
- Tribunal Support: Provide secretarial support to racing tribunals
- Brief Preparation: Prepare briefs for the Minister's Office and the tribunals
- Communication Guru: Prepare, manage, and review high-level communications and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Strategic Advisor: Research and prepare strategic advice, information, and reports on diverse and complex policy, planning, and operational matters.
- Issues Manager: Provide issues management and support by responding to emerging issues and ensuring effective resolution with minimal risks.
- Collaborative Partner: Work closely with executives and subject matter experts to deliver timely and effective advice and reports.

Key Requirements
- Experience in brief writing and supporting an executive leadership team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- This role must understand, interpret, and apply legislation, policies, and principles of governance in a manner that adapts or identifies gaps, develops new strategies, and recommends changes
