Your new role As the Event Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind the company's national events, bringing bold ideas to life and creating unforgettable experiences that elevate the brand and deepen customer engagement. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Port Melbourne, reporting to the National Marketing Manager. You'll manage 15-20 events annually, ranging from intimate local gatherings to large-scale national conferences. These include:

National Sales and Operations Conferences
Industry tradeshows and exhibitions
Corporate events
Sponsored association events


Your scope will cover:

End-to-end event management: from concept and logistics to execution and post-event reporting
Creative development: designing immersive experiences with themes
Stakeholder collaboration: working with branch managers, SMEs, and external vendors
Marketing integration: briefing designers, managing booth graphics, and aligning with brand standards
Performance tracking: using HubSpot and other tools to measure ROI, lead generation, and attendee satisfaction

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll be a dynamic and driven event professional who combines strategic thinking with flawless execution. You'll be comfortable juggling multiple projects, collaborating across teams, and delivering high-impact experiences that leave a lasting impression. You'll bring:

5+ years' experience in B2B event management, ideally within trade services, commercial industries, or conference environments. You understand the nuances of professional audiences and how to engage them meaningfully.
Exceptional project management and organisational skills: you're the kind of person who lives by run sheets, anticipates challenges, and keeps everything (and everyone) on track.
A self-starter mindset: you take initiative, work independently, and don't wait to be told what to do. You're proactive, resourceful, and always looking for ways to improve.
Meticulous attention to detail: from logistics to branding, you ensure every element of an event is polished and purposeful.
Creative flair and a passion for storytelling: you know how to bring a brand to life through immersive experiences, bold themes, and thoughtful touches.
Experience with CRM and event platforms: you're comfortable using tools like HubSpot to manage leads, track engagement, and report on ROI.
Strong stakeholder management skills: you can confidently liaise with internal teams, vendors, and senior leaders, building trust and delivering results.
Flexibility and willingness to travel: you're open to interstate travel and occasional weekend work, with time off in lieu provided.
