Building Estimator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Estimator to join our State Government client in Mt Isa. This role offers an opportunity to play a key role in the management of government building assets. We are looking for a professional with a passion for precision and a proven track record in building estimation.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating and Scoping: You will be responsible for producing high-quality, accurate estimates and quotations for a variety of building projects.

• Compliance: Ensure all estimates and contracts comply with the State Purchasing Policies, Minor Works, Local instructions, and tendering/contract methods, including all client requirements.

• Best Practices: Apply proven best estimating practices to interpret plans and prepare detailed, accurate building estimates.

• Technical Knowledge: Use your working knowledge of contemporary estimating methods and a thorough understanding of building construction, maintenance legislative, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven background in building construction and maintenance, with a strong focus on estimating and scoping.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.

• Certifications: You must hold a current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card and a current Open QLD Driver's License.
