About
Texco is a specialist Industrial design and construct partner. Our business has been built, and is continuously improving, to deliver industry-leading facilities for Australia’s most prominent industrial REIT’s, developers, and owner occupiers.
In a market driven by increasingly complex operational tenancy demands we are obsessive about offering a process that fully complements the industrial development life-cycle.
This drive results in a workplace and project environment that is continuously improving to best meet the needs of our clients, their tenants, our subcontractors, our consultants, and our team.
Having delivered over 1,500,000 million square meters of industrial property, the majority for repeat clients, we have proven to be a reliable, highly competent, and trusted delivery partner.
We are a proud contributor to Australia’s industrial property landscape. It is a market that rewards hard work, relationships, high performance, innovative thinking, and collaborative workplace and project environments. As such our decision-making is underpinned by values that reflect this.
The role
As our Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, organising, and coordinating the development and implementation of our environmental management systems. This includes identifying, solving, and alleviating environmental issues across our projects, such as pollution, waste treatment, and energy efficiency, in compliance with environmental legislation, and to ensure sustainable development outcomes.
Working closely with various departments, you will serve as the primary contact for ESD matters within the business, aiming to become our subject matter expert as your knowledge and experience evolve.
Key responsibilities
Plan, direct, and oversee the integration of ESD principles and environmental management systems into the planning, design, and construction phases of all projects.
Identify and implement practical solutions to environmental issues including waste treatment, pollution control, and resource optimisation.
Ensure our projects comply with all relevant environmental legislation and standards, while also seeking opportunities to exceed compliance and support corporate sustainability objectives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for ESD-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and support as needed.
Monitor and report on the status of all Green Star and other certified sustainability projects, providing direction and assistance to project teams as required.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to promote continuous improvement in sustainable practices and ensure alignment with Texco’s values and objectives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving regulations to ensure Texco remains at the forefront of environmentally sustainable design and development.
