At O2METOCEAN PTY LTD, we are looking for a skilled Environmental Engineer to work on a full-time basis (38-40 hours per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement environmental monitoring programs to assess conditions in marine and coastal environments, including water quality, sediment transport, and meteorological factors.
• Analyse environmental data and prepare technical reports that inform decision-making for coastal development, marine infrastructure, and environmental protection.
• Support the planning and delivery of impact assessments, identifying potential environmental risks associated with marine and offshore activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g. marine scientists, engineers, GIS specialists) to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
• Contribute to the design of sustainable solutions that minimise environmental impacts and ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
• Participate in stakeholder engagement processes, assisting with the communication of environmental findings and mitigation strategies to clients, regulators, and community members.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of monitoring equipment, including oceanographic and meteorological instruments used in marine environments.
• Apply knowledge of environmental systems and modelling tools to support the assessment of coastal processes, such as erosion, sedimentation, and hydrodynamic changes.
• Review and interpret environmental legislation and policies, ensuring projects align with regulatory requirements and best practice environmental management.

Requirements and Skills:
• Relevant Qualifications.
• At least one year of experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental processes, including hydrodynamics, sediment transport, water quality, and ecological impacts.
• Experience conducting environmental impact assessments and applying regulatory frameworks to assess environmental risks.
• Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in technical and field-based work.
• Effective communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Position: Full Time
Salary: $75,000 – $95,000
Location: 13 Mews Road, Fremantle, WA 6160
