Location: 5 Candlebark Ct, Research VIC 3095
Position: Engineering Technologist – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation
About the Role
The Engineering Technologist will work closely with our engineering and project teams to design, test, and implement power system solutions. This position requires a balance of technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and practical application to deliver safe and efficient engineering outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Apply and adapt established engineering methods, techniques, and tools to design, develop, and optimise electrical and power systems.
2. Conduct feasibility studies, system testing, and technical evaluations to support project delivery.
3. Assist in preparing engineering specifications, reports, and project documentation.
4. Monitor and test equipment performance, recommending modifications and upgrades.
5. Provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of power systems.
6. Use CAD, simulation tools, and modelling software to prepare technical drawings and designs.
7. Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications and compliance standards are met.
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
9. Identify opportunities for process and product improvements to increase system efficiency and reliability.
10. Train and support technicians and junior staff in technical tasks and applications.
Skills & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power, or related field) or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as an Engineering Technologist.
3. Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and safety standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Strong project management and organisational abilities.
