Visa2land Pty Ltd We are seeking an experienced engineer to manage our projects focusing on protection systems, operational safety, and risk management across pipeline, excavation, and civil operations. Task & responsibilities Organize and coordinate engineering and technical operations across pipeline, excavation, and civil projects. Formulate and implement policies, procedures, and safety management systems to ensure compliance and efficiency. Oversee recruitment and training of technical staff. Manage cathodic protection monitoring and surveys, including advanced techniques such as DCVG and CIPS. Design and oversee the installation of Sacrificial Anode (SACP) and Impressed Current (ICCP) systems. Conduct testing, commissioning, interference testing, and insulation continuity testing to ensure optimal system performance. Audit safety and management systems, conduct rig inspections, and implement safe systems for pipeline excavations and digs. Supervise abrasive blasting, mechanical damage inspections, and non-destructive testing (MPI, ultrasonic wall thickness). Oversee HS related to protective coatings, coating inspections, and composite repairs to extend pipeline life. Direct risk assessments relating to pipeline and cable installation, and site rehabilitation. Ensure quality assurance of underground and above-ground pipework. Oversee secure bulk haulage services and the safe transport of ores and minerals (gold, nickel, iron, etc.). Manage incident investigation and reporting processes. Identify and mitigate hazards, including natural events (floods, storms, wildlife), mine rehabilitation risks, and excavation safety challenges. Provide strategic direction to engineers, technicians and contractors focused on safety and precautions. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve business goals. Qualification & experience Minimum 3 years’ experience managing remote and challenging projects in rural or regional areas. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline). Certification in Health & Safety operations (e.g., OHS, WHS, HSE).
