About the Role Guide and mentor a dynamic team of software, data, and test engineers within an agile, collaborative environment (10-15 direct reports). Take ownership of key system components, leading the Design and Delivery of robust, high-quality solutions. Strategically oversee resource allocation, ensuring the team achieves both business targets and professional growth. Hands-on: write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that supports continuous integration and deployment, adhering to industry best practices. Translate solution designs into high-performing application code, optimised for scalability and reliability across platforms and devices. Manage and optimise Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, driving automation for seamless deployments. Take responsibility for incident management within the team, ensuring consistent and timely resolution of system issues. Work closely with cross-functional agile teams to foster an engineering culture focused on rapid and iterative delivery of customer value. About you We’re looking for someone with: A “You build it, you own it!” mentality 4+ years of experience leading Engineering team(s) Strong leadership and influencing skills Sound experience in application architecture, design patterns and development practices Deep technical knowledge on ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, C# and Entity Framework Core Experience working on Web application architecture, Blazor framework or Angular 11, Typescript, SCSS, HTML5 & CSS3 Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, specifically App Service, API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL DB, T-SQL, Entity Framework Core, etc. Perpetual | TDI - Engineering Manager (Tech Lead).docx 2 Experience with a variety of database management systems (SQL, NOSQL), data storage patterns, eventual consistency, data analytics, and reporting Demonstrated belief in TDD, unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end (functional) tests Experience building/consuming APIs using .NET Core Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) operations, tooling, and practices It would be great to bring, but is not required to have: Basic knowledge of Financial Markets and good grasp of financial mathematics Has exposure to automation and continuous delivery An understanding of Microservices patterns.
