About the opportunity The Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital is recruiting Registered Nurses to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care, in collaboration with Deakin University. Ongoing clinical support at the bedside and specialised education, in affiliation with Deakin University, provides the opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment. By joining our team, you will develop a strong clinical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive high quality care. Gain a nationally recognised Post Graduate qualification in critical Care in collaboration with Deakin University. Learn how to think critically, quickly and calmly in a range of emergency situations. Gain invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge with the support from our dedicated Education Team. Ongoing employment upon successful completion of the course. What you’ll bring You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. To thrive in this role, you will have: Current unrestricted registration as RN Division 1 with APHRA. A minimum of 6 months registered nursing experience in the Emergency Department or equivalent acute setting. Proven ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively within the team. Critical thinking ability and demonstration in prioritising patients’ care. Commitment to furthering knowledge and continuing professional development. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
