Electrical Safety Solutions is a Sydney-based company specialising in electrical safety and fire protection services. Located in Alexandria, NSW, the business provides compliant, reliable solutions to help commercial and industrial clients meet Australian safety standards and reduce fire and electrical risks.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

• Examining and testing electrical machines, safety equipment, instruments, and control systems to diagnose faults and ensure compliance with Australian safety standards.
• Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn or defective electrical components, wiring, and safety devices, and carrying out routine maintenance on electrical and fire protection systems.
• Reassembling, test-operating, and adjusting electrical and safety equipment to confirm correct functionality and regulatory compliance.
• Advising clients and end users on correct operating and safety procedures to prevent malfunctions, hazards, and non-compliance.
• Interpreting technical signals, fault codes, and system alerts, converting them into clear reports and documentation for maintenance records and compliance purposes.
• Monitoring system communications and alarms, including transmitting and receiving operational and fault-related messages during testing, commissioning, or emergency response activities.
• Installing, configuring, and commissioning electrical safety equipment, electronic instruments, and control systems, including fire detection and protection systems.
• Applying electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles when commissioning, testing, and maintaining electrical safety and fire protection control systems.
• Provide clear and concise guidance to clients on correct operating procedures and best practices for maintenance and troubleshooting to enhance their understanding and utilisation of the technology.
• Execute precise installation procedures for electronic equipment and systems, ensuring accurate placement and alignment with window coverings.
• Apply expert knowledge of electronic principles and industry standards to commission newly installed equipment effectively.

Requirements:

• An Associate Diploma or Certificate in a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation
