On behalf of our client (Woods Grain Pty Ltd), we are advertising.

Woods Grain Pty Ltd is looking for Electrical Fitters to join their team based in QLD.

Role Purpose:
The Electrical Fitter reports to the Maintenance Planning Manager and is responsible for installing, testing, connecting, commissioning, maintaining, and modifying electrical equipment, wiring and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Check electric powered farm equipment for potential hazards.
- Identify potential threats to electrical systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Check electrical system grounding.
- Ensure panels, circuits and outlets are not overloaded.
- Ensure all electrical tools have proper grounding protection.
- Good knowledge of various test equipment.
- Reduce the likelihood of workplace injuries through the undertaking of risk assessments and application of safe work/operating procedures as part of ?WH&S system.
- Adhere to defined work health and safety, injury management and risk management policies, protocols and procedures related to the work being undertaken in order to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace ensuring:
1. Participation in proactive safety related programs
2. Completion of required safety related training
3. Reporting of all incidents
- Use safety devices and protective equipment correctly and in accordance with health & safety procedures.
- Not interfere with, remove or displace any safety guards, safety devices or protective equipment unless it is as part of and approved maintenance or repair procedure.
- Assist with regular organised hazard inspections.
- Engage and participate in ongoing review of operations for continuously improvement of overall service delivery. ?
- Responsible for adequately managing the required records created and received according to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Undertake any agreed duties associated with the position as required.

Qualifications:
· Electrical trade qualifications
· Current drivers licence
· Food Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience

Skills & Knowledge:
· Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
· Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
· Planning, organisation and problem solving skills
· Strong technical aptitude
· Reliable, motivated and punctual
· Have a strong work ethic
· Be physically fit and healthy for work
· Proven ability to work as part of a team
· Ability to work under limited supervision and independently
· Good communication skills and effective leadership qualities
· Ability to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationships
· Understanding and practice of GMP
· Contribute to a group effort in order to plan and carry out work

Salary from $76,515 per annum
Position: Full Time
Location: 4390 Goondiwindi, Queensland
