About the Position:
The Electrical Engineering Technician plays a vital role in supporting Insight Lighting Solutions' lighting design and implementation projects by assisting with technical aspects of electrical systems, prototype development, testing, and integration of lighting products. This position ensures that all electrical components meet high standards of safety, efficiency, and performance, contributing directly to the company's reputation for delivering innovative and reliable lighting solutions. The role involves hands-on technical work within a dynamic team environment, helping to bridge design concepts with practical applications across diverse commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for lighting installations, including LED and control systems.
Support the development and prototyping of custom lighting products and profiles.
Conduct electrical testing, quality assurance checks, and compliance verification to ensure products meet Australian standards.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and installation teams to integrate technical specifications into projects.
Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and reports for internal and client use.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during product development or on-site installations.
Requirements:

Minimum Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician or in a related electrical/technical role.
Strong technical skills in electrical systems, LED lighting, circuit design, and testing; proficiency with relevant software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment; strong communication skills for liaising with designers and clients.
