The Client
HTC Global Services is a global provider of Information Technology and Business Process Services (BPS). Their client base spans several Global 2000 organizations in Australia and globally.
They are now seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team in Melbourne.
The Role
This is a full-time role with an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation. The role will be based in Melbourne, VIC.
The Responsibilities
Testing prototype products such as electrical components, equipment, and electronic modules used in vehicles.
ECU programming (flashing system software, configurations, and various other parameters) using diagnostic tools and understanding module functions.
Using the CANalyzer software to evaluate CAN network communications and signal tracing through different graphs.
Performing functional tests to ensure all equipment and features are in full working order and addressing any issues.
Interpreting wiring diagrams and checking for any open/short circuits in the physical electrical layouts on the yellow board before sending it to the assembly line.
Reading various electrical drawings, specifications, and regulations of electric power equipment and implementing them to test different electrical components.
Conduct and sign off on rigorous testing for the vehicle's connectivity solutions to ensure they meet all technical and regulatory standards
Diagnose and analyse testing failures to identify and resolve root causes in electrical systems and components
Test and iterate electrical circuit designs on breadboards during the Operational Prototype Development stage
Participate in meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams to coordinate and resolve component and system issues
Adhere to all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Execute specific tests on SYNC systems, Engine Control Units, and Transmission Control Units to ensure proper functionality and communication
The Requirements
An electrical engineering or technical qualification in Automotive engineering
At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering in a professional setting
At least 2 years of electrical engineering experience in ECU programming, diagnostic and testing experience
At least 2 years of demonstrable understanding of electrical feature/functions.
At least 2 years of commercial electrical engineering experience in failure modes and effects management in the context of development of validation methods.
At least 2 years experience with CANalyzer software
Independent worker, self starter who can easily learn new tasks.
Strong communication and organisational skills
Possess critical and analytical thinking skills
