We’re seeking an experienced children’s picture book editor to polish a short manuscript (ages 4–8). The story is warm, animal-centred and needs to be publication-ready for print. 679 Words. Responsibilities • Light developmental edit (story arc, pacing, page-turn rhythm) • Line edit (dialogue flow, sentence tightening, read-aloud cadence) • Copyedit in Australian English (grammar, punctuation, spelling) • Provide tracked changes + clean copy + short editorial notes Requirements • Proven experience editing children’s picture books • Familiarity with read-aloud rhythm and age-appropriate language • Strong command of Australian English • Ability to deliver within 2–4 days Deliverables • Edited manuscript with tracked changes • Clean final version • 1–2 page editorial memo with key suggestions Please include: 1.
