About the role

The Y WA is currently recruiting for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our Newman Early Learning Centre team. We are seeking a passionate Teacher with great communication skills, a love for early childhood education and the ability to build strong, genuine relationships with parents, staff, and young children.

What does the role look like?

-Encouraging and nurturing children to grow socially, emotionally, instilling a love of learning through a variety of strategies and activities.
-Working to develop a program that meets the needs of individual children and reflects children’s interests, development, culture, and the -YMCA’s Approach to Learning.
-Liaise, support, and assist parents in a friendly, non-judgemental, and personal way.
-Maintaining the required developmental records of children as required by the Regulations, EYLF and the NQF.

Essential requirements
-Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent qualification
-An understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012, the EYLF and the NQF
-Experience developing and implementing programs
-HLTAID004 First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance and Working with Children check
-Previous experience working in an Early Learning Centre
