Are you passionate about leading disaster recovery efforts and strengthening communities in times of crisis? Anglicare is seeking an experienced fulltime Disaster Recovery Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership of our Disaster Recovery program across NSW. In this autonomous role, you will lead statewide disaster recovery planning and response, manage regional coordinators and volunteer programs, and work closely with government agencies, church and community stakeholders to ensure Anglicare is prepared to respond when disasters occur. This role requires flexibility, statewide travel, and availability during disaster activations, including some out‑of‑hours work. About the role Lead and implement Anglicare’s Disaster Recovery strategy across NSW Manage Regional Disaster Recovery Coordinators and key team members Oversee recruitment, training and engagement of disaster recovery volunteers Build strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, churches and community stakeholders Coordinate disaster recovery operations during activations and major events Ensure compliance, reporting, funding acquittals and continuous improvement About You Significant experience in disaster recovery, emergency management or large‑scale volunteer programs Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement capability Experience working with vulnerable and disaster‑affected communities Strong planning, decision‑making and organisational skills Ability to travel across NSW and work flexibly during disaster events Relevant tertiary qualification and people leadership experience highly regarded Why Anglicare?
