We focus on person-centred support, building routines, encouraging hobbies, and helping clients explore the community and discover new interests. Mentoring is an important part of the support we provide, giving clients guidance and encouragement as they build independence and confidence, but our work also focuses on safety, routine, and promoting personal growth in all areas of life.

About the Role
We are seeking experienced, reliable, and proactive disability support workers / mentors to join our growing team, supporting participants in Tingalpa, Brisbane, with availability to start immediately. Applicants with experience supporting children, teens, or families, particularly in disability, education, or behavioural settings are encouraged to apply.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting clients to develop daily living skills and routines
- Mentoring clients in hobbies, interests, and community participation
- Encouraging confidence, emotional regulation, and self-esteem
- Planning and guiding meaningful activities and experiences
- Building consistent, trusting, and positive relationships
This role suits someone calm, adaptable, proactive, and relationship-focused, able to provide predictable support while responding thoughtfully to each client’s needs. Experience engaging children or young people in structured routines, emotional regulation strategies, or community activities will be highly regarded.
Casual positions with competitive weekday rates + weekend/public holiday penalties. Immediate start available.
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience supporting people with disability across a range of needs
- Experience working with children or young people, or in roles requiring patience, guidance, and age-appropriate engagement
- Ability to mentor, encourage, and model positive behaviours
- Calm, patient, and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
- Confidence working independently while maintaining professional boundaries
- Excellent communication skills with clients, families, and allied health professionals
- Person-centred mindset and genuine passion for supporting others
- Interest in adventure, outdoor activities, or creative pursuits (highly regarded)
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current, non-restricted driver’s licence
- Roadworthy, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Strong verbal communication skills
