About the role

This is a full-time support worker position based in Brooklyn Park, SA 5032. As a support worker at WELLSPRING PLACE, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and assistance to elderly and disabled individuals, helping them to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. Your role will be crucial in enriching the lives of our clients and supporting them to achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

· Assisting clients with day-to-day personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.

· Helping clients with domestic chores such as shopping, meal planning and preparation, cooking, washing and light cleaning

· Safely assist with mobility and physical support needs

· Providing companionship, social engagement, and emotional support to clients

· Identifying and reporting any changes in client health or well-being to the appropriate supervisors

· Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocols

· Actively participating in team meetings and training sessions

What we're looking for

· A passion for working with the elderly and disabled population

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Possess patience, empathy, and a caring nature

· The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Relevant experience in the aged care or disability support sector

· Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

· A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Certificate III or IV in Disability / Individual Support (or related)

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check

• National Police Clearance (current)

• First Aid (within 3 years) & CPR (within 12 months)

• Current Australian Driver’s License, reliable vehicle & comprehensive insurance

• Strong English communication skills

• Manual Handling Certificate

• Medication Certificate
