About the Role
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic Disability/Mental Health Support Mentors with a passion for helping people. Previous experience supporting people with complex support needs highly desirable.
The ideal mentor will be friendly, fun and engaging to build a therapeutic relationship to successfully assist our clients with a range of disability-related supports.
It is expected that the successful candidates will be available and willing to work a set Fly in Fly out (FIFO) roster from Perth to Kununurra on a 1 week on 1 week off rotation.
We are seeking people who have experience with supporting people in regional and remote locations or confidence to do so.

Key Responsibilities
• Follow person-centred support plans to ensure client safety and wellbeing are at the centre of everything you do
• Provide support and assistance with daily living tasks which includes prompting/medication administration
• Maintain a high level of progress in note-taking and record-keeping
• Maintain a high level of integrity and regard for professional boundaries, confidentiality and dignity in the delivery of support
• Build and Maintain positive relationships with the client and their wider support networks.
Skills & Experience
• You must have an NDIS Worker Screening check, or be willing to obtain it at your expense.
• Previous experience working with and supporting people with complex intellectual disabilities and behaviours
• Experience in working in regional and remote locations
• Culturally competent in supporting people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
• Australian Drivers Licence
• A minimum of certificate III in Disability / Community Services or relevant industry or lived experience
• Current First Aid Certificate (Including CPR)
• Successful candidates will be required to clear all relevant probity clearances which include a Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Salary $75,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
