As part of this strategic growth, we have established a new Project Finance division focused on renewable energy and infrastructure transactions. This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed team at a pivotal moment, working directly with the Head of Project Finance to build and grow a high-impact business line. About the Role As Project Finance Director, you will play a central role in originating and executing transactions, leading the credit submission process, and building relationships across the market. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in project finance, commercial instincts, and the ability to lead deals from end to end. Top Role Accountabilities: Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of project finance transactions, with a focus on renewables and infrastructure. Take ownership of the credit submission process, including financial modelling, risk analysis, credit paper preparation, and internal approvals. Lead client pitches and cross-border deal teams, collaborating with colleagues across global locations and product areas. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisors, and industry stakeholders. Monitor transactions post-close, ensuring compliance and providing ongoing client support. Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and market development in the Australian energy and infrastructure sectors. Mentor and develop junior Wholesale team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. To be successful you will have: Minimum 10 years of project finance experience, with significant exposure to the Australian renewables sector. Exposure to digital infrastructure is considered a plus. Well-established local network across key players in the Australian project finance market, including lenders, advisors, developers, and industry stakeholders. Solid industry knowledge across renewables and infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to lead complex transactions and generate compelling pitch materials. Excellent financial modelling, credit analysis, and credit writing skills. Strong communication, inclusive leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Proactive, client-focused, and results-driven, with high integrity and risk awareness.
