Digital PR & Media Outreach Specialist Location: Remote (Philippines preferred, must overlap AEST hours) Type: Full-Time Reports To: Founder (Strategy) + Ops Manager (Execution Oversight) Budget Range: $1,200-$1950USD /month (based on experience and proven results) Your Responsibility To position Otto Media and our clients as trusted authorities by securing high-value media placements, backlinks, podcasts, and expert commentary features. This is a client-facing and execution-heavy role where you will turn insights, data, and content into compelling PR stories that fuel SEO authority, brand visibility, and lead generation. You will also work closely with Otto’s AI Lead and Data Scientist to ensure our PR machine is efficient, data-driven, and future-proof. Core Responsibilities (Ranked by Impact): 1. Client-Facing PR Strategy & Communication (Highest Impact) Act as the direct PR partner for Otto’s clients: join calls, present PR strategies, and update clients regularly on progress. Clearly communicate campaign opportunities, coverage expectations, and results (fluent english speaking & writing is essential) Work with clients to surface internal data and insights that can be transformed into PR campaigns (with support from Otto’s Data Scientist). 2. Campaign Execution & Outreach Manage campaigns end-to-end: idea → pitch → coverage. Respond to journalist requests via HARO, SourceBottle, Qwoted, Featured platforms. Guest post outreach and placement (free + paid). Podcast outreach & booking ,anagement: secure appearances for clients on industry-relevant shows. Pursue unlinked brand mentions, broken link building, and local business link opportunities. Secure backlinks from DR70+ sites aligned with client industries. 3. Content & Angle Development Translate client expertise + internal data sets into newsworthy, data-led PR stories. Collaborate with Otto’s Data Scientist to identify and package insights into compelling narratives. Draft press releases, media kits, and personalised journalist pitches. Work with AI Lead to scale ideation, angle testing, and pitch personalisation using automation. 4. Workflow Automation & PR Tech Stack Partner with Otto’s internal team to streamline and automate PR workflows. Test, recommend, and implement PR software/tools to enhance outreach, monitoring, and reporting. Continuously optimise processes to save time and scale campaign delivery. 5. Reactive PR & Authority Building Lead reactive PR/newsjacking workflows - respond quickly to trending stories with relevant commentary. Monitor for unlinked mentions and convert them into backlinks. Drive broken link building campaigns at scale. Contribute to Otto Media’s Digital PR frameworks to systemise authority-building tactics. 6. Content Production & Authority Marketing Participate in Otto Media’s They Ask, You Answer content production. Be comfortable on camera for internal or client-facing video content. Collaborate with Content Manager + Videographer to produce PR-focused educational assets we can use throughout our marketing material (website / social media). Act as a spokesperson for Otto Media by joining podcasts and interviews as a guest, positioning the agency as a thought leader in digital marketing and PR. 7. Measurement & Reporting Track performance: backlinks, referral traffic, media mentions, podcast features. Work with AI Lead + Data Analyst to tie PR efforts to SEO gains and revenue outcomes. Present insights in C-suite-ready reports that connect PR activity to business growth. Success Metrics: Month 3: Consistently responding to journalist requests; 5-10 backlinks per client per quarter. Month 6: First national-level media placement + 2 podcasts secured. Month 9: Case study showing PR → SEO gains → revenue influence. Month 12: Otto Media recognised as a national authority in Digital PR, with PR as a core differentiator. Ideal Candidate Profile 3+ years in Digital PR, outreach, or SEO link-building. Fluent English speaking & writing - confident in client calls and media comms. Strong writer with a nose for newsworthy, data-driven angles. Experience with HARO/SourceBottle/Qwoted/Featured + podcast outreach. Proven track record in guest posting, link building, and reactive PR. Familiar with SEO fundamentals (DA/DR, topical authority, anchor strategies). Comfortable on camera - willing to take part in Otto’s content production and Podcast Features. Tech-forward mindset: skilled in outreach tools (BuzzStream, Pitchbox) + open to AI adoption. Proactive, organised, and aligned with working during AEST timezone hours. Application Requirements 1.
