University of Queensland Press Part time (60%), permanent position Base salary will be in the range $93,491 - $100,296 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at our Long Pocket location About This Opportunity Join the University of Queensland Press (UQP) as a Digital Lead & Publicist and play a key role in shaping UQP’s digital presence and publicity efforts. This dynamic role involves leading digital content strategy, managing online engagement, and promoting UQP titles through creative campaigns and events. University of Queensland Press (UQP) is one of Australia’s leading publishing houses. Established in 1948, UQP has consistently produced culturally significant works across genres such as fiction, non-fiction and poetry, as well as children's and young adult books. Key Responsibilities: Lead UQP’s digital content strategy, including website, social media, SEO, and e-newsletters. Plan and deliver creative digital and publicity campaigns for UQP titles and brand. Build relationships with authors, media, and stakeholders; coordinate events and launches. Provide digital training and support to authors and staff; manage digital and event budgets. Demonstrated experience planning and delivering a multi-platform digital content strategy. Sophisticated knowledge of digital and social media landscape and current best practice. Ability to work effectively with UQP authors and manage key relationships with external suppliers (web designers, developers, IT support staff and external industry partners) Significant experience undertaking publicity campaigns and planning and managing events. Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as Content Management Systems and aggregation or distribution platforms (e.g. MailChimp) and programs such as InDesign and PhotoShop. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines.
