Due to a long, strong, and ongoing pipeline of work we are ungently seeking enthusiastic and motivated applicants for the positions of qualified Motor Mechanic within our Queensland Trades Team who will work for our valued clients. You will be working from either Joii Limited Brisbane office or Joii Limited regional office Deebing Heights QLD.
Essential skills needed:
• Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
• Expertise knowledge of current heavy vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Be able to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Hold all industry required tickets and tools.
• Supply & maintain own commercial grade tools, noting a tool maintenance allowance is included in the salary package)
• Provide own vehicle to get themselves and their tools to site.
• Maintain current driver’s license.

Additional Information:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
The role includes repairing, maintaining and testing heavy vehicles and other diesel engines and related mechanical components of buses, trucks and heavy vehicles.
Tasks Include:
• detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
• dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
• diagnosing and testing with the assistance of computers
• repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
• order parts and maintain Inventories.
• performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with regulations.
• rebuilding engines and parts after being repaired.
• welding and painting of vehicles and components
• may inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
