Whyalla Beef, a company part of NH Foods Group which is a leader in the global delivery of a wide variety of foods including fresh meats, ham, sausages, processed foods, seafood, dairy products and health foods is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their busy team at Smithlea QLD.      

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and Hydraulic systems on trucks, buses and other heavy Vehicles
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles
- Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts on Trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles
- Undertake inspections, assessments and maintenance on Trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles  

Skills and Abilities

- Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- A Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology /Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or relevant  
- Ability to work in a team environment 

Salary range is $70,000 -$85,000pa commensurate with experience
