The Role

Jagcor is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to facilitate the expanding operations of Jagcor’s construction and concrete supply divisions.

This a great opportunity building on your experience, you will be working on a wide range of plant including but not limited to Gensets, Light Vehicle’s, Truck mounted concrete boom pumps, mobile cranes, excavators, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, wheel loaders, wheel rollers, water carts, tipper trucks, prime movers, dollies, semi trailers etc.

The role is for a Heavy Diesel Fitter for maintenance and repairs of our plant & equipment at our workshop in Hope Valley.

The person we are seeking will be a dynamic self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to the team in a positive and proactive manner.

You must also demonstrate a proven work ethic, and a good general understanding of how a maintenance department runs and be able to coordinate tasks in a busy environment.

You will be required to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be part of a team that thrives on performance.

Must be capable of passing a Pre Employment Medical including a LABDAS drug and alcohol test.

Preferred but not essential :

Previous experience preferred in repairs and maintenance of construction plant and equipment

Experience in heavy haulage transport vehicles - prime movers, trailers, dollies etc

Repair scheduling and coordination

Current C Class Driver’s License

HR and Plant Operator tickets preferred but not essential
