Our client, Essence Enterprises Solution Pty Ltd trading as Web 99 is an Australian-owned digital solutions provider specialising in website development, mobile and web app development, SEO and digital marketing, CRM systems, and maintenance services.

The company provides end-to-end services for businesses across Australia, with a client base spanning dental, retail, professional, and service industries. The position is based at Mitchell, ACT and occasional collaboration with branch offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Orange, Perth, and Sydney may be required depending on project needs.

Essence Enterprises Solution Pty Ltd (Web 99) is seeking to fill a full-time position for a skilled and experienced Developer Programmer for developing and implementing technology solutions. You must have the ability to think outside the square to solve complex software issues to create operational efficiency.

The primary purpose of the position is to design, code, test, and maintain software programs, websites, and applications tailored to client specifications and internal business needs. The Developer Programmer will also ensure that all digital solutions are secure, efficient, scalable, and optimized for user experience.

This position is critical as it underpins Web 99’s ability to deliver high-quality technology solutions that enhance productivity, expand market reach, and maintain the competitive standards required in the fast-paced digital development industry.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least three years of full-time relevant work experience in software development, website design, or a similar IT industry role is required.

In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Interpreting specifications, technical designs and flow charts for software applications
• Analysing client requirements, business specifications, and system functionality to develop tailored technical solutions.
• Designing and implementing features based on user’s requirement
• Increasing efficiency through process analysis, refinement, and continuous improvement.
• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods
• Participating in solution design, develop the software, evaluation and system configuration activities to ensure the requirements are met
• Building, maintaining and modifying the code for software applications
• Constructing technical specifications from a business functional mode
• Ensuring consultation with relevant business stakeholders regarding key information
• Designing technical solutions for complex software modules and integrating end to end
• Evaluating system program needs, writing and maintaining program code
• Analysing gaps in existing systems and to provide technical solutions that meets business expectations
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement
• Testing and writing technical documentation, end user documentation and operational procedures
• Providing technical solutions for performance issues identified in system testing
• Improving user interactions with functional and useful designs
• Ensuring consultation with relevant business stakeholders regarding key information.

Skills
You will need to possess the following skills and personal attributes:
• Experience in web development, data structures and algorithms, database management
• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, Python, .NET, React, Node.js, HTML/CSS)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate business requirements and design solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure and undertake multiple concurrent tasks
• The applicant must demonstrate hands-on experience in coding, debugging, system integration, and application maintenance within a commercial business context.
• Knowledge of databases and system integration (e.g., SQL, MySQL, API development).
• Understanding of digital marketing and SEO integration, given Web 99’s client base and industry focus.
• Time management and multitasking skills to manage multiple client projects concurrently.
