Position: Developer Programmer – Full-Time
Salary: $77,000 – $87,000 + Superannuation
About the Role
The Developer Programmer will design, build, and maintain software applications and digital systems that support Cedar Hospitality Supplies’ operations. You will take a lead role in application development, systems integration, platform optimisation, and ongoing digital transformation initiatives. This position is essential for supporting business growth, streamlining internal processes, and enhancing customer-facing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1.Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications across web and internal systems.
2. Analyse business requirements and develop effective software solutions that improve operational efficiency.
3. Enhance and maintain existing applications, ensuring ongoing stability, performance, and scalability.
4. Develop and manage API integrations between internal systems and external platforms.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and system bugs.
6. Write clear, maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
7. Support automation initiatives, inventory system improvements, and user experience enhancements.
8. Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development procedures.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital improvements across the business.
10 Ensure data security and compliance with privacy and IT governance requirements.
Skills & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
2. Minimum 3 years’ full-time experience as a Developer Programmer (required for Subclass 186).
3. Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, PHP, or JavaScript.
4. Strong experience in web development frameworks, databases (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL), and API integration.
5. Experience with version control systems (Git) and modern development approaches.
6. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to resolve complex technical issues.
7. Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to team-based projects.
8. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Experience supporting digital transformation, system automation, or eCommerce platforms is highly regarded.
