Primary Location VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins St Job Description Summary Service Stream are on the lookout for a new Delivery Manager to join our VRMC Transport team! About the Role As a member of the VRMC (Victorian Road Maintenance Contract) Contract Leadership Team (CLT), the Delivery Manager oversees safe, compliant and efficient completion of all VRMC, Penlink and Borough of Queenscliffe Works in accordance with the respective Routine Maintenance Program, as set by the Planning & Optimisation team. A seasoned, inclusive and highly visible leader who makes best-for-Contract decisions, champions safety, diversity and inclusion, and implements change by taking people on a journey. Key Responsibilities: Engaging, onboarding, training, developing and retaining a high-performing Works Delivery team comprising both Service Stream employees and delivery partner (subcontractor) personnel, supporting commitments for workforce diversity, social procurement and local industry development Working closely with the Network Intelligence Operations Centre Manager and Pre-Works Lead to prioritize Hazard & Defect Rectification Works for Section 750 compliance and best network performance for available budget Completing Works in line with Contract KPIs for safety, cost, timeliness, quality, and environmental management Establishing and maintaining all depot operations, materials, plant and equipment requirements Developing, implementing and continually improving Delivery function processes and procedures to drive service performance outcomes Fostering strong working relationships with CLT colleagues and the wider VRMC team, client representatives, delivery partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. About You: At least ten years’ experience in senior leadership roles Experience with reactive maintenance, delivering long-term maintenance and capital/project works programs Handling large annual budgets > $15 million, in industries such as civil engineering, road construction / maintenance, resources or heavy manufacturing. Detailed knowledge of civil construction and/or road network management practices, including access, permit and licensing requirements for road maintenance operations A drive for service excellence, underpinned by extensive experience managing internal workforces and delivery partners to deliver services to specification, program and cost A track record of fostering workforce diversity and engaging local organisations, including social enterprises and Aboriginal Businesses, to deliver services Advanced project and program management skills: highly organised and deadline-oriented, with a strong cost control focus A proactive lead-indicator approach to minimising quality, safety and environmental risks and incidents. A current Victorian Driver’s’ License is mandatory as travel is required between the VRMC offices Formal qualifications in engineering or construction management, project / program management and/or process/operational improvement methodologies are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent capability and experience. Familiarity with DTP Routine Maintenance Services Section 750 (Performance Based) will be beneficial.
