- As part of an exciting uplift to our corporate systems, we are embarking on an implementation of Workday across our People, Payroll, and Finance operations. As such, we are looking for a Data Conversion Analyst, on a 12-month Maximum Term Contract to conduct data analysis and mapping ensuring an accurate and complete data conversion from legacy systems to Workday.
- The Data Conversion Analyst will develop the data conversion strategy, scope, and timelines in alignment with the project plan.
You’ll also make an impact by
- Conducting data analysis and mapping to ensure an accurate and complete data conversion from legacy systems to Workday.
- Developing data conversion specifications (inc. mapping tables, transformation logic etc. as required) that document the end-to-end ETL process and represent data conversion best practice approaches.
- Developing the code and tooling configurations required to deliver the ETL for the data conversion.
- Developing data cleansing and validation processes (inc. Workday and legacy system reports) and documentation (inc. load tracking, and reconciliation) and sign them off with the business SMEs and ETS Data Services team.
- Working closely with both the ETS Data Services team and the business system admins on legacy system data extraction, the ETL process, and on data validation process.
- Executing multiple trial data conversions and loads, running data cleansing and validation processes for each trial.
- Updating data conversion specifications and modify the ETL code after each trial conversion to drive constant improvements in the accuracy of the converted data.
- Actively support each stage of the testing process.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have
- 5+ experience working as a data conversion analyst on complex technology projects across the human resources and finance domains.
- Experience operating in smaller organisations, having hands-on responsibility both for planning and delivery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data conversion and data quality principles, approaches, methodologies, and tools.
- Demonstrated experience planning, documenting and delivering data conversion and data quality activities in ERP projects.
- Strong experience with SQL data analysis, data models, and specific ETL tools (especially TM1) and scripting languages like Python.
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools for managing and integrating data sources.
- Strong ability to analyse complex datasets, identify patterns, and solve problems related to data accuracy.
- Familiarity with legacy HRIS, Payroll, and financial systems and their data structures
- Experience delivering data conversions for Workday implementations
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
