  • Bailey Abbott now have an exciting opportunity for an Analytics engineer to join our Data Intelligence capability. Our Data specialists work within an active community of practice, enabling you to benefit from their years of collective experience and wisdom.

Working as an Analytics Engineer you will get the opportunity to

  • Work closely with the client to understand operational, user and technological requirements
  • Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI.
  • Build and optimise semantic models and datasets to enable self-service analytics and consistent reporting across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain DAX measures, calculated columns and other business logic to support advanced analytics.
  • Implement data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data within Microsoft Azure-based environments, utilising tools such as Azure Data Factory
  • Contribute to the design of data models and schemas in Azure to support data quality and reliability
  • Apply working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases to support data storage and retrieval requirements

Your skills and experience includes

  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Power BI at an advanced level.
  • Hands-on experience working with data extraction, transformation and loading tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts and best practices.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in Agile team setting.
  • Proven track record in project delivery and client engagement.
  • Experience leading small teams or workstreams
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and architecture concepts
  • Certifications in Microsoft cloud and data tools such as Azure, Fabric and Power BI
