Position: Post Office Counter Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Australia
Salary: From $33.19/hour as casual or applicable award rate for part time permanent.
Hours: 10–15 hours/week (Weekdays 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, rare Saturdays 9:00 AM–12:00 PM)

About the Role:

We’re expanding our team! Join our vibrant and friendly Australia Post outlet (open 5.5 days a week) as a part-time Post Office Counter Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills and grow within the Australia Post environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Handle cash and manage transactions accurately.
• Process postal services and retail products.
• Lift and handle parcels safely within Australia Post limits.
• Upsell or cross-sell other products based on customer needs.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to meet business goals.

What We’re Looking For:

Candidates who are enthusiastic, bubbly and extrovert who loves talking to people.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in retail and proven cash handling.
• Communication: Clear and effective verbal communication.
• Attributes: Attention to detail, adaptability, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.
• Availability: Flexible for weekday shifts and occasional Saturdays.
• Mobility: Must have a reliable car and a valid Australian driver’s license.
• Work Rights: Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents only.
• Additional: Willing to undergo a Police Check if successful.
