Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Corporate General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the organisation. This role is responsible for driving organisational performance, aligning business strategy with operational execution, and ensuring sustainable growth. The ideal candidate is a senior leader with strong commercial judgement, proven people leadership, and the ability to manage complex, multi-department operations.
Key Responsibilities
Set organisational strategy, policies, and operational objectives aligned with commercial and governance requirements.
Provide executive leadership to senior managers, ensuring business units operate cohesively and efficiently.
Drive profitability, productivity, and organisational performance through effective planning and resource allocation.
Evaluate operational, financial, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making and risk management.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with approved business plans.
Authorise and govern major initiatives, investments, and organisational change programs.
Collaborate with department heads on operational methods, workforce planning, systems, and capital requirements.
Represent the organisation in high-level negotiations, stakeholder engagements, and official forums as required.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and corporate policy frameworks.
Monitor, assess, and optimise the performance of senior leadership and executive teams.
Oversee or provide executive direction across functions such as finance, sales, marketing, human resources, and operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in a senior executive or general management role within a corporate or complex organisational environment.
Strong strategic planning, commercial acumen, and organisational leadership capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
Sound understanding of financial management, budgeting, and performance reporting.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
High-level communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-paced, and performance-driven environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA or executive leadership programme.
Experience operating within regulated, multi-entity, or growth-focused organisations.
Exposure to corporate governance, board reporting, or investor engagement.
