About Us

Periscope Café is a locally owned café located at Port Geographe Marina near Busselton WA. We focus on fresh,homemade food, local produce, great coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere where our customers can eat, drink, and unwind. We pride ourselves on quality and consistency, and we’re looking for a skilled cook to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking a full-time Cook to prepare and deliver high-quality meals for our café customers. This role is hands-on in the kitchen and requires someone who can work in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to excellent food preparation and presentation.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of café-style meals to a high standard
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Manage stock rotation and assist with ordering supplies
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
• Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth service
• Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for seasonal specials

Requirements
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) highly regarded
• Previous experience as a cook in a café or restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
• Available to work Wednesday to Sunday (full-time hours across these days)
